Airbus Group Research Grant Claude Dornier for Pascal Stadler

The Airbus Group Research Grant "Claude Dornier" 2016/2017 has been awarded to two physicists from Konstanz University: Claudius Michael Riek (centre), who wrote his doctoral thesis in the research group of Alfred Leitenstorfer (left), and Pascal Stadler (absent in picture), whose dissertation was supervised from the research group of Wolfgang Belzig (right). Prorector Dirk Leuten (second from left), Dietmar Pilz, site manager Airbus Defence and Space Friedrichshafen (third from left), Christina Groll from the Konstanzer Wirtschaftsförderung (third from right), and Uwe Kühne, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (second from right) also attended the award ceremony in the city hall of Konstanz.

The research grant promotes early career researchers at the University of Konstanz, especially focusing on doctoral researchers with excellent achievements in physics, mathematics, information/computer science and economics. The connection between university and industry research is particularly important.
